Autoignition Temperature Tester DF-6500

DINTOK DF-6500 Autoignition Temperature Tester conforms to ASTM E659 Standard Test Method for Autoignition Temperature of Chemicals. A small, metered sample of the product to be tested is inserted into a uniformly heated 500ml glass flask containing air at a predetermined temperature. The contents of the flask are observe in a dark room for 10min following insertion of the sample, or until autoignition occurs. Autoignition is evidenced by the sudden appearance of a flame inside the flask and by a sharp rise in the temperature of the gas mixture. The lowest internal flask temperature at which hot-flame ignition occurs for a series of prescribed sample volumes is taken to be the hot-flame autoignition temperature of the chemical in air at atmospheric pressure. Ignition delay times (ignition time lags) are measured in order to determine the ignition delay-ignition temperature relationship.

Description

Precise Determination of Autoignition Hazards with the Autoignition Temperature Tester DF-6500

Ensure safety and regulatory compliance in chemical handling, storage, and transportation with the Autoignition Temperature Tester DF-6500—a high-precision, automated instrument engineered to determine the autoignition temperature (AIT) of liquids, gases, and vapors in accordance with ASTM E659, IEC 60079-4, EN 14040, and GOST 12.1.044. Critical for petrochemical, pharmaceutical, and industrial safety labs the DF-6500 identifies the lowest temperature at which a substance spontaneously ignites in air—without an ignition source—providing essential data for hazard classification and process design.

Engineered for Accuracy, Safety, and Regulatory Confidence

The DF-6500 Autoignition Temperature Tester features a high-temperature glass or metal test chamber (up to 800°C) with precise PID-controlled heating, an automated sample injection system, and high-sensitivity optical or thermal ignition detection. A small sample is injected into the preheated chamber, and the instrument records the temperature at which spontaneous combustion occurs. The system includes forced-air cooling for rapid cooldown between tests and explosion-resistant shielding for operator protection.

  • Compliant with ASTM E659 & IEC 60079-4 – Validated for safety data sheets (SDS), ATEX, and OSHA compliance.
  • Temperature Range: Ambient to 800°C – Covers most organic solvents, fuels, and industrial chemicals.
  • Automatic Sample Injection & Ignition Detection – Eliminates manual error; ensures repeatable results.
  • Dual-Chamber Option (Optional) – Enables testing in air or inert atmosphere for comparative analysis.
  • Safety-First Design – Explosion-proof window, fume exhaust, overheat protection, and emergency stop.
  • Data Logging & Reporting – Stores test parameters, AIT results, and video capture (optional); exports to PDF/CSV.

Trusted in Hazard Assessment and Process Safety

Autoignition temperature is a key parameter for:

Classifying flammable liquids under GHS, OSHA, and DOT regulations
Designing safe operating temperatures for reactors and storage tanks
Evaluating thermal stability of new chemical compounds
Preparing safety documentation for REACH, TSCA, and transport regulations
The DF-6500 delivers the reliability and traceability required by ISO 17025 and GLP labs, ensuring your hazard data meets global standards.

Whether you’re developing a new solvent or validating storage conditions for a chemical plant, the Autoignition Temperature Tester DF-6500 provides the critical safety insight you need—accurately, safely, and in full compliance.
